Finding Your Muse

Oh my goodness. I've just finished going through a free on-line class given by Alisa Burke titled, Finding Your Muse. It was fabulous. I have never taken one of her classes before, but I do follow her blog and love her work. She's very inspiring. In this class, she explains her philosophy of finding inspiration and how to use it in your creative life. If your have the chance, I definitely recommend that you check out this class. Letter Love 101

These are from a class I'm currently in called "Letter Love 101" with Joanne Sharpe. The class is very active and lots of fun. These are my first homework assignments.

Pearlized Paper and Triptik Book

Last weekend, I took a class and made Pearlized Paper using Smooch Inks. Then we used the papers as part of a Triptik Book we made. These little inks are wonderful, and I love how the book turned out.

Card for a friend

This is a card I rubberstamped for a friend that hasn't been feeling very well. I stamped it with permanent black ink and colored it with Prismacolor Pencils using only 3 colors. I used the Primacolor Blender Pencil, for the first time, to blend the colors. I like the way it turned out, and I hope that she likes it too and it brightens her day. The cardstock and stamp are both from Stampin Up.

Another Beautiful Flower

As I've mentioned before, I love flowers. So when I saw these flowers in front of my friend's house, I just had to take a picture. Their color is purple, but the picture has some blue showing through. It's not real true to their color, but they're beautiful anyway.

Keeping Calligraphy Alive

As a gift to my neighbor's young grand daughter (he's also our friend), I gave her the book, "Calligraphy For Kids" along with a Parallel Pen, a box of cartridges and a single calligraphy marker. She absolutely loved it. It's only one way to try to keep an interest in calligraphy alive. Do you have any other ideas? I would love to hear them if you do.

Zoey Update

My little boy has recuperated very nicely, and here' s a picture to show you. He looks good, doesn't he? The first rear leg that you see is the one that had surgery.
