My Little Boy

Hi Everybody,
It sure has been a while since I've posted anything. I've been going through a major block with creativity, but I think I'm starting to come out of it a little bit now. Wow, that was a long time. Anyway, I think I will tell you about "my little boy, Zoey". About 7 weeks ago, my little boy (aka my dog) had surgery for a trick knee and a torn ligament. So I have had quite a job helping him to recuperate. He is not allowed to run, jump or play, and he has to be on a short leash every time he goes out. He has a few more weeks to go to be considered fully healed, and then I have to slowly get him used to going for his daily walks a little bit at a time. I've been pretty much glued to the house taking care of this little guy, but he's worth it. His little partner, Lindsey, died last December, and both of us are still grieving over her. As strange as it may seem, I think his surgery has helped him to bond with me more now that Lindsey is gone. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of him right after the surgery. Oops, I will place another picture in the next post.

More Flowers

I Love Flowers

While walking around the block with my dog, I noticed some beautiful flowers. I just had to go back and photograph them. I have no clue what type they are, but here's the photos.

Paste Paper #3

This is the last one I made. It's definitely different. I think they will all make good backgrounds for something, although I'm not sure what. Any ideas??? Thanks for taking a look.

Paste Paper #2

I'm not sure what happened in the upper right corner of this one, but I think the rest is salvageable.

Paste Paper Play

I got together with 2 friends, and we experimented a bit with paste papers. This was my first try, so I was pretty excited. The paste was made from just white flour and water. For color we added Golden fluid acrylics, and we painted on Arches Text Wove Water Color paper. While they were drying at my friends house, on the floor, her 2 little dogs decided to investigate and walked on some of the papers. So if you look closely enough, you will see an authentic little paw print on the above paper. lol. I actually like that little print. It makes me smile.

Birthday Card

Over the weekend, I made this card for a friend. I used the Cuttlebug "D'Vinne Swirl" Folder for the background then layered plain cardstock on top, and I wrote "Happy Birthday" with a variation of Pointed Pen Calligraphy. I stippled ink around the corners of the plain cardstock and wrapped the corners with glittery silver ribbon. I hope she likes it.
