Sunset

About two weeks ago, my husband and I took a ride to Jones Beach Pier to check it out for fishing. The sun was setting, and it was so beautiful. Here is a picture:

Gratitude Art for the week of June 2nd

This time, instead of using a stamp, I wrote out the scripture in Italic Calligraphy using a 3.8 size Parallel Pen with Green Ink, and I outlined it with a Micron 03 Black Pen. I was trying to make the lettering stand out a bit by outlining with the Black, but it also made it look somewhat "stubby". I'll know better next time.

What I'm thankful for:  Answered prayer, our home, God's protection, family, my dog, education and music.

Gratitude Challenge for May

Hello Everyone. I apologize for not posting very much. I haven't been feeling well for quite a while. I've been battling with severe headaches, vertigo and back pain. Although I'm feeling somewhat better, it's still a struggle on and off. I'm just thanking the Lord for easing some of this for me and praying that He would completely heal me.

Anyway here are some of the things I'm thankful for this month:

1.   I'm happily married for 28 years this month
2.   Grateful for the Lord's healing
3.   for my new church
4.   for the Lord's protection
5.   for wisdom
6.   for my daughter

Using the scripture Mark 10:27, I made the following card:

The corner flowers are from Inspired Stamps, "Thinking of you set", and they are colored with Sakura Glaze pens. There's a very fine line around the border of the card (I don't think you can see it in the picture) which is gold, and I used a Zig "Wink of Stella" Pen. The card stock already had the gold rectangle, and it's from Paper Relections, Specialty Square Cards. The scripture is a single stamp from Inspired Stamps. I hope to be able to post for this challenge at least once or twice a month.

Gratitude Challenge

Because I want to be more intentional about being grateful this year, I've decided to participate with Inspired Stamps and their gratitude challenge. If you go to www.inspiredstamps.blogspot.com you find an explanation of what its all about. I've decided that I want to post something on a once-a-month basis for this challenge. If I get the chance to create more often, then I will post it. For January, the scriptures that we're using are: Psalm 118:24; Psalm 92:4; Psalm 47:1 & Psalm 28:7. My first response to the challenge is below:

These small cards are size 3x3. They've been stamped and then outlined with a Black Pigma Micron Pen. On the front of the cards, the outlines are colored in with Glaze Pens by Sakura. The cards with scriptures on the outside are blank on the inside except for the outlining. The cards that have an image on the outside show the scripture on the inside. All stamps are from Inspired Stamps. The reason I made these cards so tiny is because I will be carrying them with me, in my pocket book, all year, to give my handwritten words of appreciation and thanks on the inside. They will be given to people such as waiters, waitresses, or anyone you can think of in a service position to the public. It's my way of saying "thank you" to them, encouraging them, and being grateful to God for them and the service they give us.
