Sooooo Sad Today

Yesterday, Dec. 18th, I had to euthanize one of my precious little dogs. She was about 12 years old and was suffering from Spondylosis of her spine/back. She got to the point that she couldn't hold herself up anymore or walk. I had to feed her by hand and give her water through a syringe. I spent about 3 months or so of getting up 3-5 times at night because she would sleep during the day and be awake at night crying for my attention. There's so much more that she dealt with, and I had to tend to, but I won't burden you with all the details. Even after all this, it was so hard to let her go. She brought alot of laughter and joy to our home after our previous dog had died. She was a tough little cookie and very independent, until her final days, and we sure did love her. She suffered alot in her lifetime, and we're just glad that we were able to give her lots of love and a good home. The picture above is what she looked like when we first adopted her. She will be greatly missed.

  1. I'm so sorry - she looks like she was so sweet. I know you'll miss her - but know that it does get a bit better each day. And know that she was lucky to have you - you took wonderful care of her right up to the last.

  2. Linda, so sorry to hear about your little dog. We had to put our beloved dog to sleep over a year ago. We still miss him, but we have another now who is wiggling his way into our hearts.
