Documented Life Project 2015

I joined the Documented Life Project again this year. Last year I signed up somewhat late and didn't catch up, but I still had some enjoyment in being part of it. Lord willing, I'm hoping to do better this year. We'll see what happens.

Anyway, the following pictures are my first two layouts. The first challenge was book print and goals. I didn't have any books that I wanted to cut up, so I photo copied a hymn and a page of my bible to represent my word for the year which is "Abide". It is also my main goal - to abide in Christ and He in me. The hymn is "Abide With Me" and the bible page is John 15. I also have definitions for the word abide on the page. To give the pages an aged look I used Tim Holts Distress Inks.

The next photo is for week 2. The challenge is to use Gesso and the quote which you'll see on the page. I'm not crazy about this layout, but I'm showing it anyway. I do like the background which was done with the gesso first, then Iridescent Acrylic Calligraphy inks in blue and green by Dr. PH Martin. I also like the stenciled snowflakes in the corners. It's somewhat hard to see, but I used Dream Weaver Embossing Paste for raised texture and sprinkled it with glitter. That's all I like about the layout. Oh well. Hopefully I will do better next time.

  3. Linda, love the colors with the hymn paper (and the hymn: house stamp makes a perfect addition! I always Mark the word 'abide' in my bible with a house too!)
